Pastor and First Lady Shaw Celebrated by Antioch Baptist Church

Antioch Baptist Church members came together on Sunday, October 27, 2024, to celebrate its pastor and First Lady, Pastor Jermaine Shaw and Ashley Shaw, for their seven years of service as church leaders. Their children, Jordyn and Isaiah, who are both actively involved in the Kingdom Kids ministry, attend Bible study, and sing in the youth and childrens choirs, were also recognized.

Pastor Shaw graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 2001. He earned an undergraduate degree in Sociology, a master of Christian Studies from Union University, and is currently enrolled at Mid-America Baptist Theology Seminary, pursuing a Master of Divinity. He has been in ministry since 2003, under Pastor Willie R. Boyle at Home Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee.

The event was held at Whiteville Elementary School with special guest and speaker Pastor Jerry Crisp of Union Hill Baptist Church.

“It speaks well of Jermaine Shaw to pastor a church like Antioch. And it speaks well of Antioch to have a pastor like Jermaine Shaw,” said Pastor Crisp, who was joined by his Union Hill church family to celebrate the Shaws.

“The fellowship with Pastor Jerry Crisp and Union Hill Baptist Church was awesome. The love shown by our family, friends, and the community will be something we will always remember. It was a great blessing to have Pastor Crisp to preach at my seventh year anniversary,” said Pastor Shaw, who shared a few words about what he loves about serving at Antioch. “I enjoy seeing the members of Antioch growing in their understanding of the Word of God. I hope to see greater worship through biblical comprehension and desire to see others do the same.”
