Registered Offender Charged for Crimes Against Children
James Marshall Jr., 45, of Jackson was arrested on Monday, July 17, 2023, after inappropriate images and videos of young children were discovered on his cell phone by a resident in Toone. A search warrant was issued for Marshall’s cell phone and vehicle. Ten grams of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine as well as a glass pipe with a white residue were found in his vehicle. Images and videos of Marshall performing inappropriate acts on young sleeping children were discovered on his cell phone.
Marshall was charged with violation of sex offender registry, two counts aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts aggravated sexual battery, possession of methamphetamine, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Hardeman County Criminal Justice Complex on a $100,000 bond.
