Ride, Run, Walk Event Brings Awareness to Breast Cancer

Bicycle riders, runners, and walkers came out to the Ride, Run, Walk for breast cancer awareness event at Pleasant Run Creek Park on Saturday, October 29, 2022, that was presented by Bolivar Academy of Cycling (BAC). Participants were encouraged to wear pink and meet the challenge of riding, running, or walking at least one mile to show their support for those battling breast cancer and breast cancer survivors.

“This is the first time we have held the event, “ said Cornell Falls, BAC founder. “We all wanted to show our support for breast cancer survivors around our community and those who are still battling breast cancer.”

The people who participated in the event not only met the challenge but surpassed it by completing the 1.6-mile Sweetgum Trail on which the event was held.

The BAC holds several physical fitness events throughout the year in Hardeman County.
