Sally Has Waited Too Long – Let’s Find Her a Home!

Sally was originally featured at Hatchie Press on December 3, 2022, again on October 26, 2024, and is still looking for a forever home.
Sally is one of the sweetest, most well-mannered dogs you will ever meet. At around eight or nine years old, she is past the wild puppy stage—quietly playful, never rowdy, and always gentle. She is easy to walk on a leash, loves car rides, and is the kind of dog who melts into your arms when you hug her.

This beautiful girl has spent more than half her life in a shelter. She arrived in August 2018 at just two years old, was pulled by a rescue in September, but after an unfortunate bite incident under questionable circumstances, she was returned. Sally found herself back at the shelter, overlooked time and time again. She was adopted once for about a year and a half, but when her owner remarried, Sally was left behind—again.
Despite everything, Sally has remained a loyal, loving soul. She spent time as the shelter’s office dog, proving her smarts and her sweet nature. She has grown much braver around men over the years, even surprising us one summer by jumping into a truck full of strangers and soaking up all their attention. While Sally is still protective of her people, her heart is full of love, and she just wants to find someone who will love her back.
Sally’s Favorite Things:
- Sunbathing with her best friend, Tex,
- Taking gentle walks and enjoying the fresh air,
- Snuggling and giving kisses (especially before mealtime!), and
- Riding in the car and being part of the adventure
She deserves a home where she can be cherished for who she is—a sweet, affectionate, well-mannered girl who still has so much love to give.
Sally has waited far too long. Will you be the one to give her the forever home she deserves?
