School Board Approves New Math Curriculum

The new mathematics curriculum was displayed at the March school board meeting.

The Hardeman County School Board approved new mathematics curriculum for grades K – 12 at their meeting last week. All curriculum grade levels will include a textbook, workbook, and digital platform. Some of the math curriculum will also include a homework app, which may be updated at school so students can complete work at home without Internet access being required.

The new curriculum also includes Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.

Use of the new curriculum will begin with the 2023-2024 school year, which will start August 2, 2023. The earlier start date was approved by the Board at their January meeting.

The School Board’s next meeting is Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office.
