Sheriff’s Deputy Tommie Wood Closes 2024 with a 10-7 Code
Hardeman County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Tommie Wood closed out 2024 with a 10-7 code (out of service), as he made his final radio call to dispatch to begin his retirement. Deputy Wood has served Hardeman County with the Sheriff’s Department for 19 years, and was a familiar face with students as a School Resource Officer with the Hardeman County Schools.
The message heard by all units made note of Deputy Wood’s character, “. . . you have always been a pillar of professionalism and a true asset to Hardeman County . . .” It also included an appreciation for his commitment and best wishes on a “well-deserved retirement”.
“Lieutenant Tommie Wood has been an excellent brother, friend, and deputy. He always has strived to serve the citizens of Hardeman County. Tommie will be greatly missed at the Sheriff’s Office.” said Hardeman County Sheriff John Doolen.
Deputy Wood’s commitment to the Hardeman County community will continue past his retirement with the Sheriff’s Department as he is a current City of Bolivar Councilman for the East District.
