Soccer Spirit Shines as HRAYS Alumni Return to Play
Former Hatchie River Area Youth Soccer (HRAYS) league players returned to the Middleton soccer fields for the annual alumni games, which was a night of fun and competitive play. It was a flashback to seasons 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021 with players from those years kicking, blocking, and scoring on familiar ground.
The two teams included HRAYS alumni, current players from the U18 and U14 divisions, and soccer playing friends of alumni. Even a few coaches and HRAYS league president, Caleb Lies, participated in the the play. Although several of the alumni players have not taken the field since they last played with the league, they performed well for “old folk” on the field. Every once in a while, you may have seen one pause to catch their breath, but they quickly got back in the game ready to play more.
The HRAYS annual alumni game is held the Friday of fall break/HRAYS bye week. Mark your calendar for 2026. All former players are invited to attend.
