TDOT Begins Highway 64 Road Repair in Bolivar {photo gallery}

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has begun the long awaited road repairs on Highway 64, which will include nine miles of highway through Bolivar from Walton Road to Davis Way. The road repair project involves resurfacing, and expanding joint repairs and thin epoxy overlay on the bridge decks. It is expected to be completed by the end of November 2025.
The project started last week with prepping along Highway 64. People traveling along Highway 64, especially near the Walmart area, may have noticed a change in the road surface. This week, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is out in full force with a concentration on Highway 64 between the intersections of Highway 18 running through Highway 125. TDOT employees are working diligently and motorists are encouraged to proceed with caution when driving through the work zone area.

Lane closures along the nine-mile stretch of highway are expected through the completion of the project, with the exception of major holidays, such as Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving, when lane closures are restricted.
