Temporary EBT Outage Expected this Weekend
Families that use the Tennessee Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system and receive SNAP and Families First (TANF) benefits will experience a temporary card use outage from Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11 p.m. CST until Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 1 p.m. CST. During that period, system maintenance will be performed, so cardholders will not be able to use their cards for food and cash purchases or for cash withdrawals.
The Tennessee Department of Human Services encourages all families that receive benefits to shop before or after the EBT system maintenance window. Regular card usage abilities will return once maintenance is completed on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
