The Storybook Trail is Ready for Spring Reading

Come go on a walk with us down the Storybook Trail at Pleasant Run Creek Park in Bolivar.

It’s springtime and Little Bear is in a hurry to smell the flowers, see the baby animals, and find a friend! But can she take the time to enjoy it? And will she realize that the friend she’s been searching for has been with her all along? Find out by reading the book A Friend for Bear, by Steve Smallman, on the storybook trail.

The self-guided storybook trail is free and available to the public, seven days a week. The park is located at 100 Stevens Road in Bolivar just north of the intersection of West Market Street and Stevens Road. The Storybook Trail includes 10 reading stops and begins just to the right side of the parking lot. The featured book is updated quarterly.

In addition to the Storybook Trail, Pleasant Run Creek Park has 170 acres of green space, an abundance of wildlife, trails, a state-certified arboretum, disc golf course, a dog park, a community garden, and a fishing lake. The trails are open year round for your leisure.

A Friend for Bear is expected to stay on display through the Spring of 2023.
