Tigers Versus Tigers Set the Stage for County Basketball Game
It was the Tigers versus the Tigers when Middleton High School (MHS) opened their court for play against Bolivar Central High School (BCHS) on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The annual game is one of two, which area fans always look forward to with great expectation.
Although the basketball teams are based in the same county, they are not in the same division. So the winners of the games do not add to their season wins in their division, but do gain bragging rights for a win. In the past years, whenever these teams have come together, they have split the wins. On Saturday, MHS finished the evening as winners of both games with its Lady Tigers winning 55-35 and the Tigers winning 71-66.
The second Tigers versus the Tigers battle will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, when the BCHS Tigers host the MHS Tigers on their home court.
