The Timbers, Office Away from Home for Business Professionals

The grand opening for the City of Bolivar’s The Timbers Collaborative Workspace was held on Thursday, August 8, 2024. The highly anticipated office away from home for small business owners and entrepreneurs was revealed and well received by visitors who came to tour the building that also houses the city’s department of tourism.

“2020 I think it is when we had the vision to start this. We were excited about this opportunity, the building itself, the historic value to our community, and all the work that was put in. When we started looking at doing this co-working space and the tourism space, I was really concerned about who we could get to be in this position and carry out the vision,” said Mayor Julian McTizic. “We couldn’t have gotten a better person to fill this position. If there is anyone that has a heart for Bolivar, it is definitely Dylan.”

The Timbers is a place where small business owners and entrepreneurs can go to conduct business on a larger scale in a professional setting. They will have access to office space and full-service amenities, tools that can help them with networking, and building and promoting their business.

“The Timbers is a collaborative workspace, co-working space, to open the doors for entrepreneurs and small business owners who may be working from home that may not have office space,” said Dylan Hill, City of Bolivar Director of Community Development and Tourism. “They can come here and utilize the computers, utilize the printers, office space, media rooms, and other services we offer.”
