Tourism Grant to Assist with Sand Beach Lake Improvements

Tennessee’s Department of Tourist Development Commissioner Mark Ezell traveled to Bolivar this week to present a Tourism Enhancement Grant check to the City of Bolivar for $28,500.

The grant, which is intended to boost tourism, will be used to renovate an existing building into an Outfitter Hut for rentals at Sand Beach Lake Park.

“We’ve seen first-hand how tourism can transform communities,” said Commissioner Mark Ezell, Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. “Tourism development is economic development, and these investments are essential to Governor Lee’s mission to expand opportunity for rural Tennesseans.”

In November, it was announced The City of Bolivar had been awarded $601,194.65 for development at Sand Beach Lake Park. {read more about that announcement here}
