TSSAA Seeking Teens to Serve on Student Advisory Committee

From volleyball to basketball to baseball, Hardeman County, Tennessee is filled with high school athletes who have passion for the game in whichever sports they choose to play. The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) wants junior and senior students like them to be a part of its new Student Advisory Committee (TSAC), which will serve during the 2025/2026 school year.
The Student Advisory Committee will have 20 students with at least six from all three regions (East, Middle, and West) of Tennessee, who will serve as advocates for their peers and student athletes.
TSAC members will focus on the following areas:
- Address current issues facing student-athletes.
- Provide input regarding rules and regulations.
- Discuss TSSAA special initiatives.
- Ways to promote positive images of student-athletes and the supporting student body.
Applicants are not required to be athletes, but should have a strong character and commitment to sportsmanship and integrity; demonstrate leadership within their school; provide two recommendation letters from an acceptable individual; and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater the previous school year.
Public school, private school, and home school students are eligible to apply by the Tuesday, April 1, 2025, application deadline. You may learn more about the TSSAA Student Advisory Committee.
