Winners Named in Community Garden Scarecrow Contest
Individuals and groups of all ages were recently invited to participate in the City of Bolivar Community Garden’s Best Scarecrow Contest.
Eight groups entered the area-wide event which celebrated fall, promoted awareness of the community garden, and helped provide a means for its continued maintenance.
The Community Garden Scarecrow Contest winners are:
- 1st Place – Grand Valley Lakes Girls Club
- 2nd Place – Hatchie Press
- 3rd Place – Girl Scout Troop 40189
The scarecrows will stay on display until Monday, November 14, 2022. If you take a picture with the Mona Lisa at the Hatchie Press display, send the picture to news@hatchiepress.com and it will be added to the Hatchie Press Halloween 2022 album.
The City of Bolivar Community Garden is located at Pleasant Run Creek Park in the open field to the right of the parking lot, after entering the park.
