Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Thursday
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Freezing rain will begin in the morning and last through early afternoon. Dangerous travel conditions are expected with black ice probable.

THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze.
* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, North Mississippi, Southeast Missouri and West Tennessee.
* WHEN...From 6 AM to 7 PM CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or
evening commute.
The National Weather Service offers the following advice, “Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
