Garrett’s Gaps and Gullies, a privately owned disc golf course in Bolivar, held its 3rd Semi-Annual Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Attendance was lower than usual due to the possibility of rain. However, 20 players braved the forecast for a day of food, fun, and fellowship!

The tournament consisted of two 18-hole rounds, with a buffet-style BBQ lunch being served in between rounds. The lunch consisted of slow smoked pulled pork, BBQ chicken leg quarters, BBQ bologna, homemade potato salad, homemade coleslaw, homemade bacon-wrapped pepper poppers, chips, drinks, and desserts.

All winners went home with their choice of a new disc or a pre-owned disc three-pack. Every participant was given a free lunch and a Whale Sac grip bag. Disc golf is a healthy, family-friendly sport that any age can get involved in!

The division winners are:

Advanced Division – Patrick Mertz (1st Place), Chris Atsinger (2nd Place)

Intermediate Division – Jesse Burchfiel (1st Place), Caleb Troyer (2nd Place)

Recreation Division – David Mertz (1st Place), Dave Wade (2nd Place)
