Property Assessor Answers Questions About Reappraisal

Hardeman County Property Assessor Josh Pulse was the featured guest at this month’s meeting of the local Republican Party.

Mr. Pulse explained to the group what the recent property reappraisal means and took time to answer questions from those in attendance. Mr. Pulse and his staff are available to answer anyone’s questions by calling (731) 658-6522.

Mr. Pulse has spoken at city council, town hall meetings, and other gatherings over this past year to inform and educate citizens on this year’s reappraisal process.

The Hardeman County Assessor’s office is responsible for the cataloging and maintenance of 22,200 parcels of property each fiscal year. The primary responsibility is the assessment of all real property including land and building improvements. The office also lists tangible personal property, such as equipment, machinery, furniture, and fixtures belonging to a business.

The Hardeman County Republican Party regularly invites community leaders to speak. Next month, Hardeman County Mayor Todd Pulse will be the guest speaker.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Brick’s Café, 100 South Main in Bolivar. Everyone is welcome to attend.
