GOVERNMENT AND COMMUNITY MEETINGS

Town of Silerton will meet at Town Hall, 30635 Highway 125 North, Silerton, 38340, on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 7 p.m.

CHESS MEET UP

If you like playing chess or would like to learn how to play, be sure to attend the meet up this week to hang out and play chess with others who enjoy the game. All ages are invited to participate.

CHROMEBOOK CLASS

A Chromebook class will be held at the Middleton Library starting Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Students must be over 60 years old, register, and complete 15 hours of class time. Each student will receive a certificate and a free Chromebook at the end of the class. Call (731) 376-0680 for more information.

COMMUNITY GARDEN

If you are wanting to try your hand at gardening this year, check out the City of Bolivar Community Garden.

TOWN OF WHITEVILLE FARMERS MARKET

The Town of Whiteville will hold a farmers market and is accepting applications for sellers. Call (731) 254-8523 for more information about the market date.

LIBRARY HAPPENINGS

Check out what is happening this week at the Bolivar-Hardeman County LibraryGrand Junction Library, and Middleton Library during their Summer Reading programs.

EXERCISE CLASS

Line Dance and Fitness Class will be held at the Bolivar Municipal Center, 211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class) and 6 p.m. (beginner class), and on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class).

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAMS

The Lee Ola Roberts Library and Simon Chapel Baptist Church are two of the locations throughout Hardeman County that are offering a summer lunch program.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

There are still churches holding Vacation Bible School this summer. If you know of a church with a program this summer and it is not on the list, e-mail news@hatchiepress.com to get it added.
