Burn Permits Required During Tennessee’s Fire Season

Due to the drier conditions and leaf litter that accompany autumn in our state, a debris burn permit is required for leaf and brush pile fires from Sunday, October 15, 2023, through Wednesday, May 15, 2024, and residents are urged to take appropriate fire safety measures. { read article }

Town of Silerton will meet at Town Hall, 30635 Highway 125 North, Silerton, 38340, on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 7 p.m.

Hardeman County Election Commission meeting will be held at the election office, 106 South Porter Street, Bolivar, 38008, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 5 p.m.

Bolivar-Hardeman County NAACP Presents the 26th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3190 Highway 18 South, Grand Junction, 38039, on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. The theme is “Thriving Together” and Hardeman County Commissioner Bethany Miller is the keynote speaker. Tickets are $50 for adults and $15 for students, and may be purchased by calling Shirley Mitchell at (731) 609-1857.

EXERCISE CLASS

Line Dance and Fitness Class will be held at the Bolivar Municipal Center, 211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class) and 6 p.m. (beginner class), and on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class).
