Area Churches to Hold Rummage Sales for Charities
Saint Mary Catholic Church and Parrans Chapel Baptist Church are holding rummage sales in October in support of two different charities to help make a difference in the lives of the people the organizations support.
For several years, Saint Mary Catholic Church Ladies Club has sponsored a rummage sale for the Hope House Shelter for Woman and Children victims of domestic violence. The shelter also receives annual support from the Hope Holiday Mart, which will be held in December. The sale will include a variety of items, household, clothes, toys, home décor, furniture, and more. The rummage sale will be held at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 223 Mecklenburg Drive in Bolivar, on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Parrans Chapel Baptist Church is holding a rummage sale and donating portions from the sale to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the name of Owen Sullivan who is a member of the church. The day will start with the rummage sale with items from an estate sale to clothing. The day will also include harvest fun activities with hay rides, pumpkin decorating, a cake walk, face painting, and corn hole. Free hot dogs, while they last, will be served. The rummage sale will be held at Parrans Baptist Church, 9400 Old U.S. Highway 64 in Bolivar, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
