Ramsey Fleet was born September 24, 1957, to the late Ozell Newble and Merlene Montgomery Crews.
His funeral service was held on Saturday August 27, 2022, at 12 p.m. at Clover Garden CME Church and Pastor Nathan Gibbs was in charge of the service. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service.
Ramsey departed this life on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Jackson Madison County Hospital.
He received his education in the Hardeman County School System. Ramsey was employed with the Town of Whiteville for 39 years. He was also a fireman with the Whiteville Fire Department for 28 years. He was loved very much and would help anyone.
Ramsey leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 32 years, Loretta: one stepson, Adrian; three brothers, Eddie (Tina) Fleet, Jr. and Marvin (Kaysha) Fleet both of Whiteville, Tennessee, and Undrae Newble of Bolivar, Tennessee, one sister-in-law, Margaret Morton of Brownsville, Tennessee; five brothers-in-law, Willie (Augustine) Morton of Brownsville, Tennessee, Willie C. (Kim) Morton of Somerville, Tennessee, Walter Morton of Oklahoma, David Morton of Somerville, Tennessee, and Dennis Morton of Memphis, Tennessee; a mother-in-law, Mrs. Lil, and a host of siblings, friends, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
