Whiteville CoreCivic Donates Handmade Scarves and Hats to Cancer Patients
Patients receiving care at Kirkland Cancer Center will have a little extra warmth and encouragement thanks to a thoughtful donation from Whiteville CoreCivic.
Whiteville CoreCivic recently donated 50 handmade crocheted scarves with matching hats to the cancer center for distribution to patients.
Kirkland Cancer Center expressed its appreciation for the donation, noting that the handmade items offer more than protection from the cold. The gifts also serve as a reminder to patients that people throughout the community are thinking of and supporting them during their cancer journeys.
“These handmade gifts will provide not only warmth, but also a special reminder to our patients that they are surrounded by a community that cares,” Kirkland Cancer Center shared.
The center thanked Whiteville CoreCivic for its kindness and generosity toward patients.
