Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has proclaimed September 25, 2026, as “Dolly Parton 9 to 5 Day” in Tennessee, recognizing Parton’s life, work and lasting impact.
In the proclamation, Lee highlighted Parton’s deep roots in the mountains of East Tennessee, where her talent, determination and imagination first took shape.
Parton shared the heart, humor, resilience and generous spirit of Tennessee with audiences around the world through her music, storytelling, performances and creative work.
