Adoptable Pet of the Week: Meet Barry Bonds

Barry Bonds is 3 years old, incredibly smart, ridiculously handsome, and has adjusted to foster life with impressive speed.

He learned the doggie door in a day or two. He gets along with other dogs, even when they’re not particularly interested in being his friend. He’s polite with treats, respectful around food, and has excellent house manners.

Now for the important part:
Barry is very talkative and has a lot to say about everything. And he is not opposed to an argument if he feels he has a valid point.
For example:
“Why are you leaving the house again?”
“Why can’t I come?”
“Your decision has been reviewed and I disagree.”

Barry isn’t one of those huskies who constantly sings the song of his people. He’s more of a commentator. A negotiator. A dog who feels communication is important and that all household decisions should be discussed thoroughly.
Underneath all that commentary is an incredibly people-oriented dog who loves his humans. He’s friendly, gentle, easygoing, and the type of dog who sits beside you while you’re eating and silently attempts to convince you that sharing is the correct choice.

If you’re looking for a handsome husky who comes with his own opinions and isn’t afraid to present them, Barry is accepting applications now.

If you would like to adopt Barry or another pet, please complete the application form.

Hardeman Adoptable Animals (HAA)
315 Clifft Road, Bolivar, Tennessee 38008 or call (731) 234-4421.

All adoption donations include rabies shot, spay/neuter, and core vaccinations. The shelter does not have cats, so we typically do not know how the dogs are with cats. All breeds are guesses. If the dog is heartworm positive, the shelter will provide treatment once the dog is in your home. Please e-mail the HAA at haa.shelter@gmail.com for an application or stop by the shelter during open hours. Thank you for considering giving a rescue dog a new life!
