Blue Oval Community Meeting Held in Bolivar

The City of Bolivar along with Bolivar Ford sponsored a community meeting with Blue Oval last week. The Ford Blue Oval project is a 5.6 billion dollar venture in Stanton, Tennessee that is expected to provide over 6,000 jobs by 2025.

Blue Oval City will be home to the next-generation electric truck from Ford and will produce batteries for future Ford and Lincoln vehicles. The site spans six square miles and will be among the largest auto manufacturing facilities in U.S. history. It will encompass vehicle assembly, battery production, and a supplier park in a vertically integrated ecosystem.

The community meeting provided an opportunity for neighbors and area stakeholders to ask questions about the project.

“I want to thank Mrs. Dunavant and Ms. Green for coming to Bolivar to speak to our residents about the progress being made at Blue Oval City and SK. These conversations are an integral part of understanding the needs of both Ford and SK, but they also serve to educate Ford and SK about the strengths of the communities surrounding Blue Oval City,” said Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic. “Bolivar is uniquely situated to take advantage of all the economic benefits that this project will bring to the area, and I look forward to working with the governmental and community engagement teams as the project moves forward to ensure that Bolivar’s interest is well represented.”
