Bolivar Police Department Holds Oath of Office and Promotion Ceremony
The Bolivar Police Department celebrated an important milestone on Friday, August 7, 2026, as department members, family, friends, and city officials gathered for an Oath of Office and Promotion Ceremony.
During the ceremony, Officer Braxdon Frost was officially promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, recognizing his dedication, professionalism, and continued commitment to serving the citizens of Bolivar.
The department also welcomed its newest officers as David Cooper, Ron Wilson, Jacob Martin, and Cannon Brewer each took the Oath of Office, pledging to faithfully uphold the Constitution, protect the community, and serve with integrity.
Mayor Julian McTizic had the honor of administering the oath to the newly sworn officers, marking the beginning of their service with the Bolivar Police Department.
Chief Michael Jones congratulated the honorees and encouraged them to embrace the responsibility of the badge. “This badge is more than a symbol of authority—it is a promise to serve with honor, courage, and compassion every single day. Lead with integrity, earn the trust of your community, and never forget that the greatest measure of a police officer is the difference they make in the lives of others.”
