Buc-ee’s Coming to Fayette County

Buc-ee’s, known for its multiple fuel pumps, super clean bathrooms, and a store full of treats and home décor is planning to open a new location at I-40’s exit 28 in Gallaway, Tennessee.

Rumors about Buc-ee’s coming to the area have been swirling around for a few months. Now, it is official as confirmed by Senator Page Walley who made the following public announcement on his Facebook page on Wednesday, April 24, 2024:

“BUC-EE’S-WELCOME TO FAYETTE COUNTY!!! Another great economic and commercial achievement for our District!”

The first Buc-ee’s was built in Clute, Texas in 1982 and the company has since expanded to seven states. Buc-ee’s typical travel center is 74,000 square feet and contains 71 restrooms, and 120 fueling pumps. Much more than a gas station, travelers can expect to find homemade fudge, a jerky bar, and BBQ sandwiches. Its presence will add a new dimension for people traveling in West Tennessee through Fayette County, and to Blue Oval City.
