Canning Class to be Offered in Hickory Valley

If you have ever wanted to learn to can your own food, now is your chance! Learn the basics of food preservation at a beginner’s canning class on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The cost to register is $20. You will learn food preservation basics and make strawberry jam.

The class will be held at Hickory Valley Baptist Church. 7230 Highway 18, Hickory Valley, Tennessee 38042. To register, email aprice26@utk.edu or call (731) 658-2421. People 12 years or older are welcome to participate, younger than 17 will need to be accompanied by an adult. The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
