Colton Watson Opens His First Business, B-Town Nutrition, Before Graduating Highschool

By: Hannah Thompson

Graduation night is a time when students celebrate their high school journey while preparing to take the next step toward their future goals and careers. For Colton Watson, however, graduation will be celebrated one week after starting his career as a businessman and opening his first business: B-Town Nutrition.

Colton had planned on attending college at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville after graduating high school, but decided to step out in faith and follow the calling he felt the Lord was placing on his life. That calling includes pursuing his passions of business, health, and community. Instead of moving to Knoxville, Colton has decided to earn a business degree online, while running the nutrition club.

“I was inspired by seeing how much of an impact nutrition clubs can have on people’s energy, confidence, and everyday lives. I wanted to bring something uplifting and different to Bolivar,” said Colton. “My good friends Blair and Sarah White mentioned to me about opening one about 5 years ago, and I saw an opportunity to bring that experience to our area.”

B-Town Nutrition offers healthy meal replacement shakes, customizable loaded teas, and protein coffees. Colton hopes that B-Town Nutrition becomes a positive place where people feel welcomed, encouraged, and energized, while also supporting healthier lifestyles for the community.

“I want every customer to feel welcomed, appreciated, and excited to be there — like they’re walking into a positive environment where they belong. It’s not just about taking an order and making a drink, it’s about informing customers about the benefits that their drink has on their lifestyle, and also building a relationship with the customers.”

Colton shared that stepping into an ownership and management role has been difficult, but very rewarding. “Starting any business comes with financial risks, long hours, and stepping outside of your comfort zone, but I believed in the vision and was willing to work hard to make it happen.”

Colton would advise other aspiring entrepreneurs to not be afraid to take the first step, be prepared to work hard, stay consistent, and surround yourself with people who encourage and support your vision. “My family, and friends have all supported and encouraged me throughout this journey. Their belief in me helped make this possible.”

Meeting new people, growing the business, and building relationships with the community is what Colton is looking forward to the most. He is most proud of the support he received from the community on B-Town’s Nutrition’s opening day.

“B-Town Nutrition is more than just drinks — it’s about creating a positive atmosphere, building community connections, and giving people a place they enjoy coming back to every day,” says Colton.

So if you’re in town looking for a healthier option to a refreshing drink, stop by and see Colton at B-Town Nutrition, and congratulate him on his upcoming graduation!

B-Town Nutrition is open Monday through Friday, 6am-5pm, Saturday 8am-2pm, and Sunday 9am-3pm at 413 W. Market St. Bolivar, TN.
