Community Service Day to be Held at the Arts Council

Through tnAchieves, the Hardeman County Arts Council is hosting a Community Service Day on Saturday, May 20, 2023, for high school seniors who applied for the Tennessee Promise scholarship. High school seniors (and current college students) using the scholarship for the 2023/2024 school year are required to complete and submit eight hours of community service by the Wednesday, July 5, 2023, deadline. Along with the volunteer opportunity for Tennessee Promise students, anyone from the community (ages are 15 and older, and 12 and older with an adult) who would like to come out and help is welcome to volunteer. All helping hands are needed.

This community service opportunity will consist of volunteers doing light building/grounds cleanup, organizing props and storage closets, and possibly painting set pieces. Work will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Hardeman County Arts Council is located at 1580 West Market Street in Bolivar. You may contact Haley Hysmith by e-mail at hysmith@tnachieves.org or telephone at (901) 236-8252 for more information.
