Festival of Trees Kicks off with Christmas in July

The Hardeman County Carl Perkins Exchange Club for the Prevention of Child Abuse held a Christmas in July event on Friday, July 28, 2023, to kick-of the Festival of Trees event which opens Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Christmas in July was held at The Columns, which was decorated for Christmas to get guests in the spirit of the occasion. Light hors d’oeuvres were served and Carl Perkins Center board members were available to answer questions about the center, its cause, and how people can support the festival.

This year’s Festival of Trees will coincide with Bolivar’s Small Town, Big Christmas and will also feature visits with Santa Claus.

Community organizations and businesses that would like to participate in the Festival of Trees are encouraged to contact Jennifer Burkeen at jrburkeen@tndagc.org or Monica Goodman at (731) 659-2373 for more information.

The Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse relies on donations from their community to fund their services to the children and families affected by child abuse.
