It’s Free Fishing Week for Kids!

Free Fishing Week starts today, June 8, 2024, and all children, ages 15 and younger, can fish free between June 8 – 14, 2024.

Free Fishing Week always follows Free Fishing Day in June. Children, ages 15 and younger, can fish for free all week in Tennessee’s public waters, agency owned and operated lakes, and Tennessee State Parks.

Remember to get the First Fish Certificate to commemorate that special moment in every child’s life when they catch their first fish. You can download your free certificate, suitable for framing, and learn more about fishing programs in Tennessee at www.tnwildlife.org.

You may find a list of fishing spots in Hardeman County on the Chamber of Commerce website. Also, be sure to take your children to Lone Oaks Farm on Saturday, June 8, 2024, for Free Fishing Field Day.
