Grand Junction Elementary School Celebrates College Colors Day
On September 4, 2026, Grand Junction Elementary School celebrated College Colors Day. The celebration featured special guest speakers Mr. Avery Williamson, a retired NFL player who played for the Tennessee Titans, and Mr. Joe Horn, a retired NFL player for the New Orleans Saints. Both speakers shared encouraging messages with students and emphasized the importance of setting goals, working hard, believing in themselves, and pursuing their dreams.
Their message to the students was simple yet powerful: “Dream It. Believe It. Work for It, and You Shall Achieve It!”
College Colors Day was an opportunity for students to learn about the importance of higher education and to recognize that their journey toward future success begins now. Students and staff proudly wore apparel representing their favorite colleges and universities while celebrating the many opportunities that education can provide.

The event served as a meaningful reminder to all students that their futures are filled with possibilities and that through education, determination, and hard work, they can achieve their goals and make their dreams a reality.
