Hardeman County Democrats Elect Selectors at Convention

The Hardeman County Democrats held a county convention on Saturday, March 16, 2024, to elect eight selectors, four men and four women, who will attend the Congressional District 8 convention that will be held in Jackson, Tennessee in April. There were about 20 people who attended the convention that was held at the Whiteville Community Center.

 The four selectors that were chosen are Gene Bowden, Kqura Bowden, Vice-Chair Michion Gatlin, Bethany Miller, Caroline Miller, Meryl Rice, Randall Rice, and Treasurer Willie Spencer.

After the convention, there was a brief executive committee meeting during which Shara Gatlin was elected as the new secretary.

The Hardeman County Democratic Party will again participate in the Strawberry Festival Parade in Humboldt on Friday, May 10, 2024, along with other West Tennessee county parties.
