Less than One Week Left to Turn in Petitions to Run for School Board, Property Assessor, and County Commission Seat
Residents of Hardeman County will soon have the opportunity to select a new assessor of property, three new school board members, and one new county commissioner, if they vote in the August 1, 2024, election. { read article }

Successfully Keeping China and Other Sanctioned Foreign Entities From Owning Land in Tennessee
In an effort to curb foreign influence of potential bad actors in the state of Tennessee, in the General Assembly we passed a law this year that prevents non-resident aliens, foreign governments, businesses and non-citizens from countries on the U.S Department of Treasury’s sanctions list as well as China from purchasing or acquiring real estate in Tennessee. { read article }

Hatchie River Soapworks Celebrates New Location
Hatchie River Soapworks recently celebrated the grand opening of its new location in downtown Bolivar with a Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and open house. { read article }

City of Bolivar will meet at City Hall, 211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008, on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 6 p.m.
Hardeman County Commissioner Bethany Miller will hold her third Town Hall Meeting at Carriage House Coffee, 107 West Market Street in Bolivar, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 6 p.m. Presenters will be Hardeman County representatives Solid Waste Director Steven Graves, Zoning Director Jim Pierce, and Ambulance Director Jamie Burnett.
Town of Toone will meet at Town Hall, 2005 Highway 138, Toone, 38381, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 7 p.m.
EXERCISE
Line Dance and Fitness Class will be held at the Bolivar Municipal Center, 211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class) and 6 p.m. (beginner class), and on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class).
