Dove season opens.
Brown Bag Book Club meets at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} at 12 p.m.
Hornsby Elementary School (HES) Bulldogs basketball plays at home against Pickwick at 5:30 p.m. It is HES eighth grade recognition night.
Bolivar Middle School Tigers basketball plays away against East Middle School at 6 p.m.
Whiteville Elementary School (WES) Lions basketball plays at home against Fayette Academy at 6 p.m. WES will honor its eighth grade athletes.
The Bolivar City Council will meet at the Bolivar Municipal Center {211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} at 6 p.m.

December 9, 2025
The Grand Junction Ruritan Club meets at TBD.
Hardeman County School Board meeting will be held at the district office {10815 Old Highway 64, Bolivar 38008} from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Hardeman County Commission will hold a Special Called Session at the Hardeman County Courthouse {100 North Main Street, Bolivar 38008} 2nd floor at 7 p.m.
Bolivar Central High School basketball plays away against Lexington High School at 6 p.m.
Porters Creek Baptist Church { 5120 Pea Vine Road Middleton 38052 } is hosting a Ladies 8 Great Gift Exchange at 6 p.m. Bring your favorite finger food and eight (8) similar $5 gifts unwrapped. You will have tons of fun and leave with eight gifts and a full belly! See more Christmas events.
The Hardeman County Republican Party will hold meet at the Middleton Community Center {building next to the City Park} at 7 p.m.
Town of Toone will hold its board of alderman meeting at Town Hall {2005 Highway 138, Toone, 38381} at 7 p.m.

The West Tennessee Healthcare Satellite Clinic will stop at the Tractor Supply Co. and Dollar Tree parking lot {1361 West Market Street, Bolivar, 38008} from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It offers free primary care, behavioral health, and substance use treatment services. Walk-ins are accepted or you may call (731) 541-1600 to make an appointment.
Santa’s Workshop S.T.E.M. Club meets at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} at 12 p.m.

Mayor Julian McTizic’s Merry Birthday Toy Drive will be held Bolivar City Hall {211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bolivar City Hall. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to help brighten Christmas for children in our community.

Bolivar Holiday Pop Ups { 200 South Main Street, Bolivar 38008 – Old Wheeler building } will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is an event featuring vendors of crafters, artisans, and food. Proceeds from booth and food sales benefit Hope House for Homeless &/or Abused women & their children along with The Carl Perkins Center.
City of Middleton will light its Christmas tree at City Hall at 5 p.m. The Middleton High School Band will perform and complimentary cookies, hot cocoa, coffee, and apple cider will be served.
City of Bolivar’s Small Town, Big Christmas will be held around the Historic Court Square and at the Farmers Market from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. People may enjoy balloon artists, carriage rides, face painting, ice skating, live music, miniature golf, train rides, Pictures with Santa from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and much more!
Merry Movie Nights free featurettes will be held at the Luez Theater { 219 North Main Street, Bolivar 38008} at 5:30 p.m. Featured movie is Frosty’s Winter Wonderland.
