Bulk Removal Garbage Pick Up is happening in Bolivar through the month of April for citizens who live in the city limits. Items you would normally take to the dump: furniture, mattresses, wood, etc. may be neatly placed on your curb to be picked up.

Friends of the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} is holding a Pack a Bag for $1 Book Sale during library hours while books last.

Volunteer and give back to your community at one of these locations this weekend (or during the week). If your child will use the Tennessee Promise in the fall for college, they can volunteer at one or more of those locations to satisfy the community service hour requirement.

FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 2024
Attend the Shop Smart Tennessee program and learn how to make healthy choices every day! Some topics that will be discussed are grocery shopping, and meal planning on a budget. The program will be held at the Middleton Community Library {110 Bolton Avenue, Middleton, 38052}, at 11 a.m.

Arbor Day Story Time will be held at the Lee Ola Roberts Library {140 West Main Street, Whiteville, 38075} at 2 p.m.

Take in a movie at the Luez Theater {219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008} where Unsung Hero will show on the big screen at 7 p.m.

Hardeman County Master Gardeners is holding a Plant Sale to celebrate spring. Shop beautiful hanging baskets, flowering annuals and perennials, vegetables, and herbs. Farmers Market Pavilion in Bolivar from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Have You Considered Home School? a free information session, presents an overview of how to legally homeschool in Tennessee, homeschool styles, curriculum options, sports, local resources for homeschoolers, and an open time for attendees to get their home school questions answered. It will be held at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. If you can’t attend this date, another session will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2024. Registration is required.

Grilling 101, a free information session, will be presented by the Hardeman County Extension at the Middleton Community Library {101 Bolton Avenue, Middleton 38052, at 10 a.m. The session is open to students of all ages and registration is not required.

Karaoke Night returns to the Hardeman County Arts Council { 1580 West Market Street, Bolivar, 38008} at 7 p.m. Singers may choose one (or more) of their favorite songs to perform. Amateurs to professionals. Children to adults. Soloist . . . duets . . . quartets . . . groups. All you need is the nerve to step on the stage. Admission is $5.
