It may only be September, but the Hardeman County Arts Council is already making plans for its December production of Christmas Belles by holding auditions on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. {read more about the production and auditions here}

The Hatchie River Area Youth Soccer (HRAYS) is making plans for its HRAYS Spaghetti Supper fundraiser that will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, in Middleton. The annual fundraiser is sponsored by the Middleton Lions Club. {read more about the fundraiser here}

Music on the SquareThis Friday night, Randy and his daughter Courtney Tidwell are opening for The Hardeman Boys. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a free, family-friendly concert behind the Hardeman County Courthouse in Bolivar on Friday evening at 7 p.m. In the event of rain, Music on the Square will move to the Farmers Market Pavilion. {see the full Music on the Square schedule here}

PAW Patrol: The Movie (PG) is showing at the historic Luez Theater! Showtimes are Friday, September 29, 2023, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The box office opens one hour prior to showtime for ticket sales.

Synopsis: When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! For Skye, the smallest member of the team, her new powers are a dream come true. But things take a turn for the worse when the pups’ archrival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with a mad scientist to steal the superpowers for the two villains. With the fate of Adventure City hanging in the balance, the Mighty Pups have to stop the supervillains before it’s too late, and Skye will need to learn that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.

Hair Talk With Camille Shavon Educational Courses presents “Youth Braider Explosion” at the Bolivar Municipal Center on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The class prepares youth, ages five to 17, for a trade that will enable them to go out into the work force and increase household incomes. The technique of braiding sharpens motor skills such as hand/eye coordination, increases creativity by learning how to envision then execute, and lastly aids in the development of personal confidence which builds self-esteem.
