March of Dogs Parade and Pet Costume Contest Set for October 24 in Bolivar
Hardeman Adoptable Animals will host its March of Dogs Parade and Pet Costume Contest on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in downtown Bolivar, bringing together pets and their owners for a day of fun, prizes, and entertainment.
This year’s parade theme is “Red, White & Rescue,” and participants are encouraged to dress themselves and their pets in their patriotic best.
Parade registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Vaughan Oil, located at 913 West Market Street in Bolivar. Participants will then march to the downtown square. Costumes are not required to participate in the parade.
A free pet costume contest will begin at 11 a.m. on the square, featuring plenty of laughs and prizes for participating pets.
In addition to the parade and costume contest, the event will feature music, food trucks, carnival rides, and other activities for the community to enjoy.
Organizers note that pit bulls will not be permitted to participate due to the county ban.
