The Middleton High School basketball Tigers celebrated a sweet victory at home on Monday, March 6, 2023, after beating the Booker T. Washington High School basketball Warriors at the final buzzer with a score of 57 – 52.

Booker T. Washington scored the first two points of the game in less than two minutes after it started. Middleton responded with the next two points in what continued to be an extremely intense and competitive game. The scores remained steady at a one-point or two-point difference, never getting more than a six-point difference with Middleton often leading. The score was 15 – 11, first quarter; 22 – 23, second quarter; 38 – 36, third quarter; and the final of 57 – 52.

In the fourth quarter and with a little less than over one minute remaining in the game, the MHS Tigers could not help but celebrate a bit early. Fortunately, the game continued in their favor with their determination to win.
