Obituary: Anne Francis Jacobs Ingle – Acworth, Georgia

Anne Francis Jacobs Ingle, 79, of Acworth Georgia, formerly of Bolivar, died at her home on September 25, 2022. She was born on December 7, 1942, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Colonel Marvin Jacobs and Mary Ryerson Jacobs. Anne was a graduate of St. Agnes Academy and took a degree in journalism at the University of Memphis. After starting her family, Anne joined the staff of the Bolivar Bulletin-Times, eventually serving as editor and associate publisher. She also worked in community affairs at the Hardeman County Board of Education. Anne was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Hatchie and Fielding Lewis chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Growing up as an Army brat living in exotic locations such as Panama, Japan, Hawaii, and Terra Haute, Indiana, seeded within Anne a love of travel that she pursued throughout her life. She and her husband, Terry, traveled extensively in Europe. Born with an eye for an image, Anne combined her love of travel with a passion for photography. Even a stand-them-up-and-click photo for the newspaper deserved care in her mind. Over the years her family included Labs, Lhasas, koi, finches, and in her final days her King Charles Spaniel.

Memorial graveside services will be at the Bolivar Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar is in charge of local arrangements.
