Obituary: Anthony Wilson
Anthony Wilson, a family man, avid hunter, and engineer, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Jackson, Tennessee. Born on February 6, 1975, in Jackson to James R. Wilson, who preceded him in death and Judy Wilson of Medon, Anthony lived a life filled with love, faith, and meaningful connections.
Services will be at the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Bolivar on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 1 p.m. with burial in New Union Cemetery near Medon.
Anthony’s professional journey took him on a path of service and expertise. For over two decades, he worked as a field service engineer for Omnicell which is based in California. His commitment to his work was evident in the twenty-one years he spent dedicated to improving the lives of others through his technical skills and knowledge.
While Anthony excelled in his career, it was his role as a husband, father, and grandfather that brought him the greatest joy. He married the love of his life, Tabethia Greene Wilson on April 26, 2014. Together they created a loving and nurturing home for their children, Kara Stephenson and her husband Dalton of Medon, Cole Eubanks of Bolivar, Gracie Eubanks of Somerville, and Jayden Wilson of Medon. Also, he leaves his grandchildren, whom he adored, Walker and Wesley Stephenson of Medon, and Rhett Kee and Klay Atkins of Somerville. Anthony embraced being a father and grandfather with open arms and found immense pride in experiencing life’s milestones alongside his children and grandchildren.
As a Christian man who believed deeply in the power of faith and leading by example, Anthony imparted invaluable lessons to his children and grandchildren. His devotion to living a Christian life shone through in every aspect of his being. He cherished the time spent with his family and instilled within them values that will endure for generations to come. Outside of work and family life, Anthony found solace in nature as an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Whether he was exploring the great outdoors or sharing stories of past hunting adventures with friends and loved ones, he always displayed an infectious enthusiasm for outdoor pursuits.
Anthony’s impact extended beyond immediate family members. He will be dearly missed by his father-in-law, Thomas Greene (Cindy) of Bolivar, brother-in-law Taylor Deming (Molly) of Bolivar, and nieces Megan Baker, Macey Howell, Charlie Deming, and Harper Deming. His memory will also be cherished by his brother Don Wilson (Amy) of Memphis, a sister, Michelle Baker of Medon, and sisters-in-law, Tiffeny Howell (Justin) of Bolivar, and Amanda Patel (Bhumin) of Memphis. Additionally, he leaves behind nephews Corey Hampton, Caleb Wilson (Megan), and Bhumin Patel Jr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his in laws, Teresa and Brad Deming; a sister-in-law, Trista Greene, and nieces, Jenny Wilson and Karley Howell.
Throughout his life, Anthony touched the lives of many with his genuine kindness and unwavering faith. He was an active member of Faithwalk Jackson and a proud member of Dixie Hills Baptist Church. His involvement in these communities allowed him to forge lifelong friendships rooted in shared beliefs and a commitment to serving others.
The legacy Anthony leaves behind is one defined by love, compassion, and faith. His unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and community has left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Though he is no longer physically present, Anthony’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. As we celebrate his remarkable journey and reflect upon the profound impact he had on our lives, may we find solace in knowing that Anthony’s spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
