Lynn A. “Lynnie” Jackson, Jr. ~ August 14, 1950- October 12, 2023 (age 73)

Lynn A. “Lynnie” Jackson, Jr., a beloved member of the community, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the age of 73. He was a devoted family man, successful businessman, and respected member of society.

Born on August 14, 1950, in Jackson, Tennessee, Lynnie was the son of Lynn A. Jackson, Sr. and Anna Bernice Hudson Jackson. From a young age, he displayed determination and an entrepreneurial spirit that would shape his future endeavors.

Lynnie dedicated over 25 years to co-owning and working at Jackson & Keller Lumber Company. His commitment to his craft was unwavering, earning him the admiration and respect of colleagues and customers alike. Through his hard work and vision, Lynn played a significant role in transforming the lumber company into an industry leader.

Not content with limiting himself to one profession, Lynnie discovered his passion for auctioneering in 1978. He launched Lynn Jackson Auction & Real Estate Company and quickly became renowned for his charismatic personality and ability to captivate audiences. His lively auctions were highly anticipated events enjoyed by many.

In addition to his professional achievements, Lynnie also selflessly served his country as a member of the National Guard. His dedication to duty demonstrated his unwavering patriotism and willingness to protect the values and freedoms we hold dear.

Outside of work commitments, Lynnie cherished spending time with his loved ones. He had a deep love for team roping and often found solace on the farm alongside his family. One could often find him enjoying nature or admiring the cows that were such a beloved part of his life.

Graveside services will be at Bolivar Memorial Cemetery on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 1 p.m. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar is in charge of the professional arrangements.

Lynnie leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his loving spouse, Jacque Lax Jackson; their children, Jody Jackson (Angela) of Bolivar and Amy McKenzie (Mark) of Hornsby; as well as grandchildren, Jace, Anna, and Blake McKenzie, Hayden and Hudson Jackson, and Evan, Kyli, and Charli Sherman.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Jackson Fawcett and his parents.

During this difficult time of mourning, let us remember the joy that Lynnie brought into our lives. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and genuine kindness were always present. He will forever be remembered for his passion for life and ability to find happiness in the simplest of things.
