Obituary: M.K. “Ken” Cleek

M.K. “Ken” Cleek, 95, of Medon, passed from this life Friday, September 11, 2026, at West Tennessee Veterans Home in Humboldt. Services were held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar beginning at 2:00pm with John Hatley officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to service time. Burial will immediately follow the service at New Union Cemetery in Medon.
Mr. Cleek is the husband of the late Florence McCarver, who he married on August 25, 1951. He enjoyed taking Mrs. Florence fishing, camping, and traveling. He also enjoyed gardening and spreading the gospel of Christ. He was always witnessing to others whenever he could, even until his passing.
Mr. Cleek was a proud member of the United States Army and served on the DMZ in Korea during the 1950s.
Mr. Cleek is survived by his daughter, Debbie Dixon (Mike); sons, Dewayne Cleek (Pat) and Ron Cleek (Tricia); grandchildren, Captain J.J. Cleek (Chelsea), Staff Sargent Dustin Cleek (Master Sargent Amanda), Terri Stout, Gerri Okan, Jennie Barton, Paige Grimm (Matt), Andrea Covington (Scott), and Tyler Dixon (Kylie); twelve great-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Florence McCarver Cleek; and his mother, Ruby Thomas Cleek.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Northside Assembly of God in Jackson.
