Obituary: Mark Foote
Mark Foote, 64, of Silerton, departed this life on Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2024, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Graveside services will be held at Silerton Baptist Cemetery on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 11 a.m.
He was born in Jackson, Tennessee on Tuesday, October 27, 1959, to the late Claude Moore Foote, Jr. and Faye Stewart Foote and was a life-long resident of Hardeman County. Mark was a 1977 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and received an Associate of Arts degree from Jackson State Community College. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Foote, on December 28, 2023.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mark enjoyed trapping and was a strong conservationist. He loved all kinds of music and was known for his vast knowledge of music trivia. Mark loved spending time with close friends and especially his beloved dogs, Maggie, Lucy, Shine, and Grace.
Mark worked for BASF as a paint representative with Harman Automotive and had also represented Environmental Coatings. He was a long-time member of Toone Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Tammy Foote, of Silerton, whom he married on May 27, 2000; step-sons, Matt (Heather) Harris of Silerton and John Tyler Harris (Katie) of Savannah; step-grandsons, Siler and Asher Harris; nephew, Adam Foote; sister-in-law, Sherry Foote of Toone; and best friend, Mike (Connie) Murley of Henderson.
Memorials may be sent to the Ronald McDonald House, Memphis.
