Obituary: Percy Brown
Percy Brown, 65, passed away on Friday May 17, 2024, at home. He was born on September 6, 1958, in Hickory Valley to the late Charlie Brown, Sr. and Hattie Mae Harris Brown.
His funeral service will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday May 25, 2024, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Arthur Lee McKinnie in charge. The burial will be in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home is in charge of the professional service.
He accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined New Hope Church. Percy was educated in the Hardeman County public schools.
On April 13, 2014, he married Lillie D. Hines. He was a loving father, husband, and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Curtis Brown; and a grandchild, Demetrius Jarrett, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; one daughter, Romika (Demetrius, Sr.) Jarrett; three daughters who he raised, Glory and Breyunna Springfield, and Shawiliam Bonner; six brothers, John (Terry) Harris, L.T. (Andrea), Charlie Chip (Faye), Jessie (Ulonda), Paul (Felicia), and James (Monique) Brown; two sisters, Lisa Walker and Patricia Brown; one grand daughter and six that he helped raise; six aunts; one uncle; and many other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
Visitation: Dixie Funeral Home in the Jerome Boyd Chapel, 750 Bills Street, Bolivar, Tennessee, 38008, on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Funeral Services: New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 245 New Hope Church Road, Hickory Valley, Tennessee 38042, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 1 p.m.
