Miracle Blake, Harmony Boyd, Malyah Crisp, and Kyndal Williams used their summertime off from school to continue learning towards earning their braider certification. All four students recently attended a class offered by Camille Shavon of Hair Expressions.

Ms. Shavon offers Build Your Brand Braider Certification classes throughout the year. Earlier this year, several local students graduated from the program. The class the four recent graduates attended included an integration of three separate classes Ms. Shavon offers.

“I was able to integrate three separate classes, Braider Certification which upon completion will license students to braid in Tennessee; Youth Braider, which teaches youth to braid and provide skills to prepare them for license when they become of age; and Fundamentals of Braiding (Loc and Twist), which teaches skills and technique for the growing demand of locticians.”

Miracle Blake and Kendall William, both students at Bolivar Central High School, each received a certificate of completion for the Tennessee Braider Certification and Harmony Boyd and Malyah Crisp each received a certificate of completion for the Youth Braiding Technique Course.

The next class will be offered in August.
