The enthusiasm carried onto the field with the athletes.

“I am excited about playing Middleton,” said seventh grader Kayden Mynatt who is a defensive tackle and playing his second year of football at BMS. “They have always been our rivals. We are going to be playing at home with the crowd cheering, so I am really excited about that.”

Anita Robertson is the new BCHS cheer coach bringing her experience in cheer with her from BMS. She is already familiar with many of the girls on the high school squad having previously coached them when they were in middle school.

“This year is going to be different for me coaching high school,” said Coach Robertson who is looking forward to working with all of the cheerleaders. “I coached some of the girls when they were in the sixth grade and this year some of them are sophomores and seniors. I am back with kids I had in middle school, so this year is going to be exciting!”

“I am looking forward to being number one in our district,” said Kyjuan Fentress who has played football since he was seven.

“I am looking forward to making it to the state championships and going to the playoffs,” said Treyon Rivers who plays right-guard and defensive tackle.

When asked what they would share with incoming freshman, they both agreed, “Be prepared to step up and play at a higher level.”

BCHS and BMS school athletes are fired up, ready to play, and ready to win!

“I hope the fans have a good time,” said Treyon Rivers. “Hopefully, we can give them a good season this year.”
