Take a Walk Down the Storybook Trail in Bolivar

Come go on a walk with us down the Storybook Trail at Pleasant Run Creek Park in Bolivar. Join a little girl, her father, and her dog as she learns to appreciate the wonders all around her. This quarter’s featured book is The Listening Walk written by Paul Showers and illustrated by Aliki. It provides a great introduction to the five senses.

The self-guided storybook trail is free and available to the public, seven days a week. The park is located at 100 Stevens Road in Bolivar just north of the intersection of West Market Street and Stevens Road. The Storybook Trail includes 10 reading stops and begins just to the right side of the parking lot. The featured book is updated quarterly.

In addition to the Storybook Trail, Pleasant Run Creek Park has 170 acres of green space, an abundance of wildlife, trails, a state-certified arboretum, disc golf course, a dog park, a community garden, and a fishing lake. The trails are open year round for your leisure.

The Listening Walk is expected to stay on display through December 2022.
